It is used in the SR400 5. The bombastic exhaust system is a nuisance to the neighbors and the NORMAL is too quiet and not enough. This Exhaust System is the recommendation for you. When Idling, there is only a thumping sound of Engine, just like NORMAL. When you twist the Axel, you can hear the good sound from the exhaust system with a thump thump. And a Japanese Vehicle Inspection Correspondence. So it's not too annoying and you can hear the sound. It is my image, but when accelerating, the engine sound becomes larger than the sound of the engine, so the acceleration feeling increases. The sound is the same as the Engine sound when it's cruising, so it's nice to hear a thumping sound from the front and a thumping sound from the back. They complement each other in a sense. I like the Engine sound of SR's Engine, so I was enjoying the Normal muffler. Japanese Vehicle Inspection Correspondence Switching to Cabton was the right thing to do. It's nice to hear both.
This is the standard Cabton, but the price is very good for the exhaust system and very cheap. It was.

I have ordered slip-on exhaust for my 2016 Sr400 (FI). For both the look and the sound. The buying experience was overall excellent. Delivery time to Europe was less then a week (Fedex), the package was ok, the connecting gasket was included (it is not necessary to order it separately...instructions are for me unclear there).Looks: muffler is well made (as far as I can tell), fits to the bike very well, with few rivets on the bottom and back side...but these are turned towards the frame/ground and therefore not visible.Sound: as other reviewers have already mentinoned, the sound is richer, deeper and definately brings some character to the othervise almost silent bike. Louder than stock but not too loud or disturbing, which is exactly what I wanted.Performancewise I cannot tell any difference, I have done only short distance since, so we will see, but I do not expect SR400 to ride significantly faster.The instructions are in japanese only but there is a drawing and with that is it not difficult to figure things out.Thank you Webike!View Detail
Firstly,I ordered one to New York, and it only took about a week, maybe less, so that was surprising. Not one word of the instructions were in English, so here's what you need to know if you can't read Japanese:It comes with 2 screws, a gasket specifically for the pipe, and a long L shape bracket that attaches to the muffler and frame. You need to remove the bracket with the bushel off the original muffler. You attach the bracket from the original muffler to the provided L bracket to the new muffler. Use all the old screws, since they only provide you with 2. I did not have to remove my center stand to install this, but it would have made life slightly easier.Lastly,It comes with a baffle inside already. The sound is way better than stock, but far from loud. I believe it also comes with a catalytic converter, so you won't have to mess with the FI map and install a power commander, and you'll still get 20% more power and you might possibly pass inspection in the US! Overall, it's gorgeous, sounds grunty but not too loud, ships really fast, and the build quality is amazing. Thank you Webike!View Detail

I purchased this silencer to replace a damaged OEM. I wanted a replacement that was close to stock for aesthetic and tuning reasons. Quality: For the price the quality is fineSound: Moderately louder than stock, sound is more like a brit bike than a sewing-machine and has a pleasing burble when riding, its not so loud as to cause irritation but you defiantly know you are riding a thumper.Tuning: I installed a Hi-Flo paper air filter along with the muffler and had to increase the pilot jet to #47.5 the main #170 and raisie the needle to clip #4 I have a mikuni BST34 carb on OEM jetting and before changing the bike couldn’t rev passed 4000RPM. I am 7meters above sea level and average temp is 15/20 celsius and now performace is back to normal, very ocassional get a decel pop. Installation: Very easy, took about 30 minutes.Performance: Indistinguishable, any improvement is probably down to weight saving, OEM = 5.25kg vs new @ 2.05KgOverall I would recommend this muffler if you want to replace stock and are looking for a more authentic sounding motorcycle.View Detail

However, when the handlebar was cut to the Left lock, it interfered with the interior cover next to the Meter, so the interior cover was cut away. I also purchased a 45° angled banjo adapter for the mesh hose to accommodate the tension of the mesh hose. ・NORMAL (Reserve integrated horizontal master) Impressions of No complaints on public roads. Familiar feel and very easy to handle. However, when the brake is set to "hard brake," the rate of increase in braking force relative to the input seems to decrease, and the brake becomes more forceful. Radipon (Reserve separate body portrait master) Impressions of It was totally different from what I expected, my expectation was that it would feel like a Rear brake… It is really a mild and easy-to-handle radipon. On public roads, it feels like NORMAL! I wonder if it's because NORMAL is the same NISSIN? But I felt the radipon effect from Breaking a little stronger, and It can be hung up to a hard brake without effort. I felt trust that this could stop.View Detail
