I bought this open muffler for my 1981 SR500 with a Mikuni VM36. Once I added this pipe the bike was able t reach its full performance potential. It's loud since it has no baffles but I don't live in an area that has noise restrictions. The bonus is it's so much lighter than the original muffler!
